Another specialty of the house is Spring Creek's beef and sausage barbecue dinner. And all dinners come with fresh baked bread straight from the oven.
Baker's Ribs
Texas Monthly magazine has put this restaurant among the top 15 barbecue restaurants in Texas, a remarkable feat given the size of the cattle-raising state and the enormity of the competition. And Maverick magazine says dining at Baker's Ribs is "an eating experience you won't soon forget." For more than 20 years, this folksy barbecue chain has been serving up tasty barbecue and is known St. Louis-style ribs and brisket done to perfection. Now, Baker's has teamed up with the Original Fried Pie Shop to add homemade pies to its offerings.
Soulman's Bar-B-Que
Starting out in Pleasant Grove, a suburb of Dallas, in 1974, Soulman's has multiplied to six locations throughout the Dallas area, including Garland. Famous for it's motto, "We're not stingy with our meat," the restaurant piles it on, serving up large portions of beef, chicken, ham, turkey, pork, sausage, hot links and ribs. Its operators believe that by giving customers their money's worth, they'll keep them coming back again and again.
Marshall's BBQ
This small, independent restaurant has just one location in Garland. What it offers is homemade taste. Don't expect anything fancy. It's a simple restaurant with a simple menu, but it has everything you would expect or want from a barbecue joint: beef, pork, turkey, ham, chicken breast, sausage, hot links and ribs. Plus, there's a large assortment of sides including barbecue and pinto beans, fried rice and fried okra.
Rick's Smokehouse BBQ
In addition to operating a restaurant, Rick's is known for its catering services and often handles large events, including weddings, graduations, parties and corporate functions. Customers can book the restaurant or the staff will deliver to a location and even set up and serve guests. For years the restaurant was known as Big Al's, but the restaurant is building a new reputation and a loyal customer base as Rick's.
