About Garland, Texas

Garland, Texas has a variety of attractions including the Mesquite Rodeo and the Garland Sports Hall of Fame. Garland is also home of the Hawaiian Falls Adventure Park, which has the Waikiki Wipeout, the Flyin’ Hawaiian, the Pipeline and the Pineapple Express. In addition, the Hawaiian Falls Adventure Park has The Kona Kooler and the Hawaiian Halfpipe plus the Keiki Kove and Coconut Groove.

 

Surf and Swim expands the fun with four-foot waves and a beach setting that includes pecan trees. Wet N’ Wild continues the water adventure with its wave pool and body flumes. There is also a place for children. Garland, Texas offers softball and soccer games as well.  Softball can be played at the Jerry Carter and Cecil Winters softball complexes. Furthermore, Garland is the location of the Cotton Bowl at Fair Park. Dallas Darts Association is an outlet for dart lovers.

Holiday Mansion House Boats, Marine Quest at Captain’s Cove and Marina Del-Ray may help with your fishing and boating needs.

 

Grand Prairie Horse Race provides opportunities for betting on the ponies. Also in the Garland, Texas area is Ridgewood Bingo. and the Texas Skatium. Landmark Museum holds ancient artifacts from early settlers. It even houses old newspapers, farm equipment and quilts from days gone by. Moreover, the Landmark Museum has an antique rail car.

 

Those interested in the arts should seek the Garland Civic Theatre and the Garland Symphony Orchestra. Tourists also enjoy the sounds of the Dallas Brass. Yen China Café, China Habor and Island Kitchen Chinese Buffet simply cannot be left off the tourist list. Los Jarritos and Marshall’s Barbeque offer fine dining.
